Customizable UI Panels
In this personal project, I designed an innovative in-vehicle interface for Polestar, focused on enhancing information organization, personalization, and user interaction. The challenge was to rethink how drivers connect with their environment and to create a system that feels natural, safe and engaging. Drawing on insights and pain points from previous projects, I set out to explore how an interface could adapt to different driving contexts while reducing friction. I experimented with multiple interaction concepts, translating them into wireframes, prototypes, and interactive mockups. This iterative process made it possible to refine flows, compare approaches to glanceability and information hierarchy and ensure that the experience remained intuitive and fluid. A key focus was personalization. Features were designed to be flexible and expandable, giving drivers the ability to tailor the system to their own preferences and evolving habits. This modular approach not only supports individual needs but also lays the foundation for long-term scalability. To convey the vision, I produced interactive walkthroughs that illustrated how the interface would function in real scenarios. The outcome is a concept that balances usability, adaptability, and innovation, delivering a user-centered in-vehicle experience that reimagines how drivers interact with their surroundings.
